What to Expect from Couples Counseling
In order to provide the best possible value to you and your partner, we begin with one or two initial sessions to get to know both of you very well. We’ll take the time to discuss your hopes and dreams, perceptions of the relationship, and identify any known points of difference. Additionally, we’ll schedule one-on-one appointments with each of you to assess your confidence in the relationship and your commitment to each other. These sessions allow our therapist to develop a strong foundational knowledge of both partners, which then allows us to determine the best path forward for your couples counseling in Chicago.
From there, we’ll guide you through many therapeutic exercises and talk therapy activities to help you heal from the past, break old patterns, and develop new skills to improve your relationship.
