We Are Hiring!

Wellington Counseling Group (WCG) is a well-established multi-specialty group practice, serving clients throughout the lifespan. We are currently seeking a licensed clinician (Psy.D./Ph.D., LCSW) for a part-time W-2 position in our Chicago office, located in Lakeview/Lincoln Park.

Ideal candidates have experience working with male clients, and a well-rounded understanding of men’s psychology and men’s issues. These include, but are not limited to, interpersonal relationships, emotional awareness, affect regulation, communication, shifting identity and roles (e.g., fatherhood, retirement), and family of origin issues.

Required hours are limited to weekday evenings after 5:00pm (specific days are negotiable), and some hours on Saturdays or Sundays, in order to meet the growing need for coverage over those high-demand periods.

All WCG employees are eligible for the following benefits:

  • Malpractice insurance.
  • Full use of our billing and collections staff.
  • Business cards and promotional materials.
  • Unique phone profile and voicemail box.
  • Individual company email account.

Additional benefits may include:

  • Access to Blue Cross Blue Shield group health insurance plans.
  • Periodic bonus payments, 401K and Profit Sharing programs.
  • Paid supervision opportunities.

Candidates must not have current employment relationships with other private practices or group practices. WCG requires all employees to sign a non-compete agreement.

This is a superb opportunity for professionals working traditional daytime hours at agencies, academic institutions, or other related settings. This position may lead to full-time employment, if mutually desired.

Interested applicants should email Curriculum Vitae, cover letter, and letters of reference (optional) to David Rakofsky, Psy.D. at: DRakofsky@WellingtonCounselingGroup.com

Doctoral Training Program

Wellington Counseling Group is pleased to welcome doctoral students to its training facility located in Lincoln Park. The Diagnostic Training Site at WCG is a twelve month program, beginning each year in early July. Students can expect to administer 8-12 batteries during the year, and they should expect to work an average of 16-24 hours per week. Supervision will be provided by licensed psychologists, Dr. Paul Losoff and Dr. Alison Lobel. Ideal candidates enjoy working independently and are interested in developing well-rounded comprehensive assessment skills. There also will be opportunities for Neuropsychological testing along the way. Students will generally be able to create their own schedules in concert with the needs of the site and clients. Students should contact their training department for additional information on the application process.
